{"title":"Strat Pickups","description":"","products":[{"product_id":"equilibrium-classic-strat-pickup","title":"Equilibrium Classic Strat Pickup","description":"\u003cp\u003e     The Equilibrium series is made with a blend of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets that gives a smoother, more balanced tone than traditional Strat pickups. \u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\" data-mce-style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eAlnico 5 rod magnets used  under the E-A-D bass strings provide a crisp, punchy, well defined low end. The Alnico 2 magnets under G-B-e treble strings have a softer attack and warmer tone to smooth out the high end and reduce harshness associated with some single coil pickups.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e     They are available in 2 versions. Classic and \u003ca href=\"equilibrium-modern-strat-pickup\" title=\"Axebuilder Equilibrium Modern Strat Pickup\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eModern\u003c\/a\u003e. Both versions are built on a 70's style bobbin with gray bottom  fiberboard flatwork, smaller diameter Alnico rod magnets, and vintage style push-back cloth covered hookup wire. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e     The Classics are wound with double build heavy formvar wire giving them a fuller sound with lots of chime and sparkle. This type of wire is similar to what Fender used in their pickups in the 50's and early 60's. The Classics are brighter and a bit livelier than the Modern version. Its clean tone is warm and dark, yet still glassy. Not dull or muddy sounding like other high output pickups can be. Neck and Middle position are full \u0026amp; punchy. Similar in tone to a P90, but with that Strat sparkle. Positions 2 \u0026amp; 4 on a traditional 5-way switch still retain the classic Strat quack. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003e    The Obsidian bridge position pickup has been fine tuned to have plenty of output, but still has a lively, responsive feel. The middle pickup is RWRP for hum canceling in positions 2 \u0026amp; 4 on a standard 5-way switch, but positions 1, 3, \u0026amp; 5 will still have single coil 60 cycle hum.
